Choose your vehicle
We source from our fleet, freshly imported Japanese vehicles or local dealers. Brand new is possible too.
- Step 03
Inspect & agree terms
Inspect the car to your satisfaction, then agree your deposit (30%+) and a term of up to 36 months.
- Step 04
Register & set up
Register free on the Commuti portal, arrange insurance and roadside assistance, and set up weekly direct debit.
- Step 05
Drive & earn
Hit the road. Settle early at any time with an early payment quote — no lock-in.
- Step 06
Own it for $1
Complete the contract and ownership is transferred to you for $1.

Who can apply
- Be over 21 with a clean Australian licence
- At least a 30% upfront deposit
- A reliable source of income
- Direct debit set up for weekly rent
- An eTag to pay for tolls
- 100-point identification to meet Australian Federal Police identity requirements

Rent to own vs. renting
Invest towards ownership, not ongoing rent
Rent to own is ideal if you don’t have the upfront resources to buy a vehicle but would rather invest towards ownership than pay ongoing rent.
While the total rent-to-own cost is usually higher than the original vehicle price, the income you earn through rideshare driving often offsets much of this cost. At the end of the contract you have a fully owned vehicle — an asset you can keep or sell to recoup part of your investment.
