Rent to own, without the interest

We offer rent-to-own terms on vehicles that are either part of our fleet or freshly imported by us. All you need is at least a 30% upfront deposit and a reliable source of income.

Eligibility

You must

  • Be over 21 with a clean Australian licence
  • At least a 30% upfront deposit
  • A reliable source of income
  • Direct debit set up for weekly rent
  • An eTag to pay for tolls
  • 100-point identification to meet Australian Federal Police identity requirements

Our responsibility

  • Provide vehicles with current registration, or registration for up to one year.
  • Supply the vehicle in full working condition with a blue slip or pink slip, as the case may be.

Your responsibility

What we ask of you

Clear, simple obligations so you can focus on driving.

    Register with us electronically — free of charge — on the Commuti portal.

  2. 2

    Inspect the vehicle to your satisfaction. You can take the vehicle for inspection after leaving a refundable deposit with us.

  3. 3

    Pay for comprehensive insurance monthly or annually. We will arrange the insurance on your behalf. Clients in the ACT or VIC may need to pay extra if intending to drive for rideshare.

  4. 4

    Maintain the vehicle until you assume ownership and provide service documents.

  5. 5

    Maintain breakdown / roadside assistance cover.

Your contract

Flexible from day one

  • Ownership for $1

    At the end of the term, on a payment of $1.00, vehicle ownership is transferred to you (transfer costs are at your expense).

  • No lock-in

    The contract can be terminated any time after serving four weeks’ notice, and you owe nothing provided rent has been paid and the vehicle is in the same condition as supplied.

  • Pay off early

    You can pay off early after one month. The premium we charge monthly is waived for the balance of the term.

  • Finance options

    If required, we may arrange finance for you through an independent broker.
